We are so happy to have so many friends and family joining us from all over Europe. To make it a bit easier, we thought we’d give you some details on how to travel to our wedding location.

The location

We are getting married at Smygehus Havsbad in Skåne, Southern Sweden. The address is Smyge Strandväg 136, 231 78 Smygehamn.

By plane

If you are coming from outside Sweden, the easiest is probably to fly. There are two airports that you can fly to: Malmö Airport or Copenhagen Airport. We usually fly to Copenhagen Airport, there are many more fight options (BA, EasyJet, Norwegian, etc.) and it’s very easy to get into Sweden as it’s right next to the Øresund Bridge which gets you to Malmö in about 20 minutes. Once in Copenhagen you can rent a car in Terminal 2 or take a train from the airport to Sweden (or the metro to Copenhagen in 15 min if you plane on staying there for some days). See more details below. From Malmö you can take the train to Trelleborg which takes about 30 min. Trains between Copenhagen and Malmö go approx. every 10-15 minutes.

Please note that since new rules imposed in January 2016 they now have a border control check at both Copenhagen Airport when you get to the train platform (takes just a minute) and at Hyllie station. You need to show your passport or ID card. 

By car

Some of you coming from Germany may consider driving to Sweden. In that case the ferry from either Travemünde or Rostock goes to Trelleborg which is the the closest city to Smygehamn, our wedding location, about 10 minutes away by car.

Reaching Smygehus Havsbad by car

If you are coming by car Smygehus Havsbad is located about 15 km from Trelleborg,which takes about 15 minutes by car. To reach it take Route E22 then Route 9 after Trelleborg towards Ystad. Turn right at Smygehus Havsbad, you’ll see it from the road. Ystad is about 31 km away, so about 30 minutes. Take Route 9 to Trelleborg. Turn left at Smygehus Havsbad. By public transport

If you are flying to Copenhagen or Malmö and are not going to rent a car, you will be able to take a train from Copenhagen Airport or Malmö centre (or Malmö Hyllie) to Trelleborg. From Copenhagen Airport you take a train to Malmö Hyllie (one of the stations south of Malmö and one of the first stops from CPH Airport, takes 12 min from the airport) and change for a train to Trelleborg C. From Trelleborg there is a local bus number 190 to Smygehus Havsbad which takes about 15 min. Taxis are also available as you get out the station and should cost around 300-400 Swedish Crowns (http://www.taxitrelleborg.se/en/prisinfo/) or, if you get in touch, we can try to pick you or arrange pick up from Trelleborg C.
